IDAHO FALLS – High school senior girls from across Idaho will converge in Idaho Falls for the Distinguished Young Women of Idaho program, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5th, at The Frontier Center for the Performing Arts. The participants will compete for $42,500 in college scholarships and the opportunity to represent the state as the Distinguished Young Woman of Idaho for 2025.
The competition will begin with the First Preliminary event at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 4, followed by the Second Preliminary at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 5. The final showcase, where the new Distinguished Young Woman of Idaho will be announced, will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. Tickets for the events will be available at the door for $15.
A total of thirty-seven young women will participate, competing in five categories: Scholastics (25%), Interview (25%), Talent (20%), Fitness (15%), and Self-Expression (15%). The winner of the competition will advance to the 68th Distinguished Young Women National Finals in Mobile, Alabama, which will be held on June 26, 27, and 28, 2025. There, she will compete alongside 50 other state representatives for additional scholarships and the chance to become the Distinguished Young Woman of America.

Distinguished Young Women is a free national program founded in 1958, aimed at helping participants reach their full potential.
