A man was arrested after police say he attempted to strangle a woman during an altercation.
It happened Wednesday morning in the 2700 North block of 5th West in Bonneville County.
Dispatchers could hear a disturbance between a male and female in the background. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a woman who said she had been in a physical altercation with a man, identified as Donnie Winn. Winn left the camper before deputies arrived. Moments later, he was spotted walking nearby and was detained.
He was arrested after further investigation and charged with aggravated battery.
